Dirk Mullins and Jody Harris are a dynamic duo with a shared passion for excellence and community engagement. Dirk Mullins brings over 40 years of experience as an oil field consultant and has spent the past 12 years as a competitive pitmaster. With more than 400 contests under his belt, Dirk has achieved multiple championships and top-ten finishes in prestigious BBQ competitions such as KCBS, SCA, CBA, IBCA and Outlaw. Nearly two years ago, Dirk envisioned creating a sanctioning body to grow the sport of BBQ, reflecting his deep commitment to the BBQ community.
Jody retired in 2017 after an accomplished 16-year career with USDA Rural Development, where she managed multi-million dollar loan and grant portfolios and developed strategic policies that supported rural development across the nation. Currently, she continues to manage several multi-million dollar loan and state incentive portfolios, providing businesses with expert guidance to achieve growth and success. Beyond her professional achievements, Jody is a celebrated pitmaster, leading SHEBBQs and founding the Rib Cookoff Association. She has earned numerous accolades, including World Champion in Dessert at the Jack Daniel's World Championship and a top 14 finish in the World in Ribs.
